Octopus

Found stranded on the shore at Hele Bay in Spring. When I placed it in a nearby rock-pool it changed colour & texture in an attempt to match the algae encrusted rocks behind it.  

Octopuses are rarely seen on the shore here but local fishermen report that they are occasionally inadvertently caught off Ilfracombe Harbour.
