Barnacles

 

Mike Puleston, from The Shores of South Devon, highlights some of his favourite images of marine organisms from the inter-tidal zone of the county's well known rock and sand beaches.

Mike gave a fascinating talk on his intertidal marine images from South Devon and the stories behind them. He seems to be one of those enthusiasts who always seems to discover some  interesting, new creature under every stone of some innocuous-looking beach. This apparent ease obviously hides a lot of time, effort and enthusiasm coupled with excellent knowledge. He is an expert on barnacles and showed us some small Hesperanna fallax on a piece of washed-up yellow plastic.
