Well, the answer is “yes”, as Paula Ferris took Coastwise members through a selection of her video clips of marine life through a microscope.
The enlarged view and video record shows behaviour such as feeding and reproduction that are not visible with the naked eye on the beach.
A small selection of still from Paula’s video shows a stalked jellyfish taking in food through its mouth opening using the pronged ‘arms’, Hydroids feeding, again using their ‘arms’, a flatworm moving, and a Greenleaf worm eating a ragworm despite the huge size disparity.
They don’t really do that…….
